Kids - Kids and Parties - If the kids are invited to a new friend's party, write down the home address, phone number and parent/child name in your address book in case a future playdate eventuates. This is also handy in case your child wants to invite them to their party in the future.
- Kids and Toys - Your kids' toy limit should be set by the size of the toy container/shelf or box you have. When the limit is reacted, teach kids that to receive a new toy, they need to give an old one of the same size to charity. The same applies for their clothes and books.
- Kids and Crowds - Before heading into big crowds where kids can get lost, write your mobile phone number in big letters on their arms AND take a photo of them on your mobile phone. If they get lost, the police can ring you AND you have an updated photo with what they are wearing to show the police.
- Kids and their Paintings - It's hard to let go but harder to hang on to. What do you do with it all? Each month, blu tak them to a wall all together, have your child stand in front of it and take a photo. It's a great way to keep a momento of how big they were when they did the artwork. Then, use the good artwork as wrapping paper and throw out the rest.
- Kids and Stickers - Buy toddlers a funky blank A4 book and tell them it's their sticker book. Whenever they are given stickers, they put them in their sticker book. It saves A LOT of time because you won't be removing stickers from the chair, the floor, the walls, the windows......
- Kids' Memories - What do you do with the kids school certificates, school magazines, trophies, 21st birthday cards, sports achievements and old karate belts? Give each child a "memory box". They can fill it with whatever is important and precious to them. Give the box to them on the day they leave home.
- Kids and Concerts - When taking kids to concerts, prepare a 'show bag' full of goodies in a pretty gift bag. This will keep them occupied while waiting for the show to start and stop them pestering for expensive merchandise.
- Kids and Shopping - If shopping with kids, take something for them to eat and a bottle of water. Never sticky liquids!
- Kids and Water Bottles - Help keep school water bottles cool by putting them in a stubby holder. Great for when they are sitting on their desks or in their lunchboxes.
